AAC Board of Directors
The AAC is made up of almost 60 Ontario agricultural, agri-food and rural organizations. It is these member organizations that annually elect 16 directors to serve on the AAC board. They are joined by 2, non-voting, liaisons from the federal and provincial government.
As a corporate body, the AAC directors have one client: the Ontario agri-food industry. The AAC board of directors has a unique understanding of funding program requirements, farming and agribusiness. It’s who they are and what they do. Keith farms near Belgrave, where his family has farmed for over a century. They are cash crop and beef producers, currently growing corn, soybeans and wheat.
Keith Black was elected to the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) board in 2014, as one of two grains, oilseeds, and specialty crops representatives. He is currently a director for Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO), representing District 8 (Huron County). He has served on GFO’s Wheat Marketing Committee, the Resolutions Committee, Ontario Soy and Canola Committee, and the Grains Issue Committee. He was a member of the Drinking Water Source Protection Committee until 2019, and a past president of the Huron County Soil and Crop Improvement Association. Keith also served on the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association Executive where he served a term as President.
