GCII: Program Summary
The objective of the Greenhouse Competitiveness and Innovation Initiative (GCII) is to increase sector competitiveness, by providing broad-based support that fosters innovation and investment in the sector.
The Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) is responsible for allocating GCII funding, and will work collaboratively with the commercial scale greenhouse sector in Ontario to achieve GCII objectives.
Eligible applicants include commercial greenhouse businesses in Ontario that grow or propagate vegetables, fruit, culinary herbs, or floriculture and as of March 23, 2017 had at least 20,000 square feet of production area.
Greenhouse operations that grow or propagate other crops should contact AAC staff to discuss eligibility before applying.
Activities which are eligible for GCII funding are those which:
increase competitiveness; and/or
access new markets and/or expand or enhance existing markets.
Applicants will be asked to identify how their proposed activities will enhance the competitiveness of their operation, their industry, or the greenhouse sector generally.

Final Date for all Application Submissions - September 28, 2018

Final Date to Submit Final Claim for Reimbursement,
